The vital work of technicians throughout the pandemic response and the impact of COVID-19 on the technical community
Many thanks to our technicians for their work as part of the pandemic response, from the rapid shut down of facilities to the preparation of the safe reopening as well as to civic response efforts.
The impact of COVID-19 on the technical community in HE and research has been nationally surveyed by the Technician Commitment and partners. The report (available here – TC 2020-COVID19-Technician-Report) highlights technical contributions at an extraordinary time and offers a number of recommendations in all key areas of the Technician Commitment in support of the technical community. UoL activities align with the recommendations.
